Really responsive, reasonably priced and reliable service. We had a new heating system installed by 1st Call 2 years ago, last night we lost central heating due to a zone valve fault, 1st call managed to fit in a same day appointment and everything was sorted by lunchtime. Am a very satisfied customer.

Had a gas fire removed, my gas boiler serviced, 2 small parts fitted and 4 of my radiators filled after they had been taken off the walls for decorating. Work was done over 2 visits and both engineers were courteous, friendly and respectful of my home. Office staff were informed and helpful. However, I was really not happy with the pricing structure. I was quoted a price for the work which was reasonable compared to other companies I had contacted but after the jobs had commenced I was told I needed to pay by the hour for the work. The boiler needed 2 small, cheap (£15 total) parts which the engineer didn’t have so I had to pay for another 2 hours of labour for this and a recheck of everything the first engineer did. When the radiators were checked (another hour of labour) the engineer found there was small, cheap part missing from 1 radiator (he told me it should cost £1) however again he didn’t have the part on him so to resolve this problem I would have to have a third visit and pay for at least another hour of labour (£50 minimum). I can’t afford this so I’m going to try myself but it was very disappointing when you were quoted a fair price originally and ended up spending considerably more than this in the end. Work and customer service good but be prepared to pay much more than you’re quoted.

Had a replacement boiler fitted. The two lads were Jamie and John. Both were very pleasant and courteous. They arrived when they said they would. All rubbish taken away :-) . A credit to 1st Call Gas Services Ltd

I was recommended 1st Call Gas for our annual gas boiler service, the office staff were a delight on the phone and their engineer prompt and efficient. Thank you for such excellent service, it is great to know that there are honest tradespeople who don't rip you off. They are consummate professionals. The engineer arrived on time and was very respectful, which is very important as a single mum with children to feel safe. He was very knowledgeable about the central heating system & left the area clean and tidy after he had finished. After the service, the central heating improved greatly and the radiators were much, much warmer! Excellent service all round.

I first came across 1st Call three years ago following a friend's recommendation. An elderly relative's boiler had broken down literally just before Christmas and they were in urgent need of help. 1st Call came to the rescue and impressed with their speed of response, professionalism and overall quality of service. Since then I've used them for my own boiler replacement and servicing, so have first hand experience of their commitment to customer care. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them - it's reassuring to know that you're in safe hands.
