Gas/elec thermostat box needed replacing. The box is around £100 online. I didn’t not realise it was such an easy fix, by just unscrewing the box and replacing it. I had originally thought it was going to be more complicated with connections and new wiring etc but it wasn’t. The engineer spent no more than 5 minutes replacing the box, despite this , including VAT my bill was almost 3 times more expensive than had I bought the box myself and screwed it on myself. I queried the bill and they tell me it is correct. Am surprised , have been with this company for about 10 years, never been ripped off before, and they have been good in the past but I won’t be using them again. Trust gone.

I have used MHCragg for almost 20yrs, my parents also used them. They have always serviced my Gas annually and each time I move home they are the first people I call to ensure that the gas is safe. I have also found them reliable in an emergency. I will continue to use and recommend for quality of service, safety, cost and reliability. Phoned regarding water leaking through hall ceiling . Responded within the time we had agreed and despite very difficult access below a tiled floor repaired the leak and additionally installed two isolation valves to avoid future problems. Very clean efficient and tidy workers and many thanks to James and Josh.
