Another consumer unit upgrade, but at the same time, I've split the supply so that we can separately power his new workshop in the garden. This way, and faults in the workshop won't affect power in the house - and vice versa. In a few weeks, I'll be back to wire up the workshop - but I've got to ... Upgrading a customer's consumer unit today, which meant first adding an isolator so that everything can be safely powered down for me to work on. It also comes in handy if - for example - a shed needs power later, because it lets us run that separately from the house. Great for making sure faults... An inspection on a twenty-year-old house today, where work's been carried out since it was built. Mostly fine, but a few things that aren't entirely safe and require some repair. Remember to always get installation certificates when you have work done: some of the things I found aren't just agein... Work isn't all cables and sockets. Behind the scenes, I've been trying to track down a customer who left a message for me a little while ago, but whose number was garbled by the voicemail system. I'm hoping I've pieced together the number and left my own message for her - but if she's reading thi... One of the reasons the rewire I've been working on was a good idea for the customer: this cable was part of the central heating circuit, and shows some signs of overheating. It's now been replaced with new and better wiring, and it's also been an opportunity to significantly increase the number o... I have recently moved to the Ludlow area with my wife and baby son. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people sort out their electrics. Ian was great! I needed new electric supplies to four outbuildings and the circuit in the fifth tested and checked. On his first visit he made safe what was already there and went away and designed the solution for the rest. He allowed me to undertake the tasks that I felt capable of and then came and inspected my work and installed everything else. He was tidy, punctual , flexible and knowledgeable and now everything is neat and works perfectly. I'd thoroughly recommend him.

Ian gave a first-rate professional service over a period of time from relatively small items to an upgrade and re-location of the consumer box, all in a domestic environment. With a very friendly manner, he offered sound advice and spelled out the options, particularly covering the financial implications. Gold-plated standard option were available, but only if you really wanted them. The sort of man you call in when you want someone you can trust. Ian does not disappoint in any respect.

We have had cause to use Ian's services at two sites. He was punctual , cheerful , efficient and professional and "got on with the job"!!!!!! No job was too small, and he even overran his day when something didn't go to plan... The work is smart ,and to say we are very pleased would be an understatement.
