Very unprofessional contractors and abysmal customer service. Had an electrical survey carried out by this company arranged through my landlord. Contractor left a mess everywhere he went and didn't even attempt to clean it up. But more significantly he left all my storage heaters switched on, (I always have mine switched off at the sockets and mains) so I was left with the cost of that plus a fully heated home in the middle of summer. Contacted them 3 times to see if they would have the integrity to rectify the situation. Got told each time a manager would get back in touch. No one ever did. I would avoid this company if I was you, I didn't have a choice unfortunately.

I had the misfortune of being an electrical subcontractor for McIntyre on a social housing contract. The first issue came up when they forgot to schedule me for my induction, so I had to force them to have me on the day. The second issue came with one of their software for uploading before and after pictures that did not work half of the time. The third and most important issue came when they called me to tell me that they cannot pay me for the electrical certificate condition reports that have been unsatisfactory, because the client only paid on a satisfactory condition report. Please note that they have not provided any stock, nor paid you for using your own materials. After a phone argument with the project manager, they finally agreed to pay for all of them pending that I would return to do the repairs. Consequently, they called me back to tell me that I have not invoiced them, given that I have filled an invoice for every single site. They replied that those where their own invoices for the client. So for 40£ an EICR, you are expected to complete the inspection, complete the certificate, upload it, upload the pictures, fill in the invoice for them (yes they expect you to do their invoicing), fill in the invoice for yourself as subcontractor, fill in a timesheet (I don’t know for what as you are paid per job, and you have to do a separate invoice to get paid). And all of that will give you 40£ IF you have marked the EICR as satisfactory. I could add that you are expected to supply everything you need, including, van, fuel, tablet, work phone, tools, PPE, etc. After they agreed to pay the unsatisfactory EICRs, they called me to tell me that my UTR is not valid. Then that is not CIS registered, and it is so they had to hold 30% of my earnings. Considering that my HMRC approved accountant has confirmed in writing to me that the UTR is CIS registered and I have been paid thru it before, I could not trust them any further. They gave me a van stock after they realized I cannot pass the EICRs if there are faults. By that time I already had enough of them. I have only received 30% of payments and had to keep the van stock until they decide to give me what I am owed.

We would like to thank Dan Chaston and all the staff at McIntyre Electrical Ltd. for their excellent service during our recent boiler and central heating replacement. Having sourced three competitive quotes we decided to ask Dan to also quote for a replacement boiler, water tank and Timer/Thermostat. Unbeknown to us, two weeks later our boiler gave up the ghost and failed. I called Dan Sunday afternoon (Which I was loathed to do) and left a Voicemail, later that evening we received a call from Dan to tell us he could come and take a look at our 30 Year old boiler with a view to organising an installation date for a replacement. Dan successfully breathed life back into the old girl and within a week McIntyre Electrical were back in the shape of Dan and Co. We can honestly say that without reservation McIntyre Electrical are a customer focused, superb quality company devoted to go that extra mile. Qualities that are hard to find in todays climate. From the outset Dan was courteous and prompt, working efficiently and cleanly. He was methodical to a fault, something Clare and I both admire. We highly recommend this company to all. Thanks Again Guys.
